I'd like to make a watch app that has complications that can update in real time. Like how the timer app that comes with the watch shows the live countdown of the timer you have running in the timer complication. And how the compass complication shows the compass in real time.

Are 3rd party developers able to make complications like this? Or are we limited to making complications that can only update once per wrist-up/home screen refresh?
