SOLVED: what is the difference between @AppStorage and UserDefault ?

Forums > SwiftUI

UserDefault and app storage both use a key to store item so what to use in what conditions? I know that both should be used for small amount of data

@AppStorage is a property wrapper for accessing values stored in UserDefaults. They are the same thing.

Basically the same. But @AppStorage only works in a SwiftUI View. UserDefaults everywhere.
