SOLVED: SwiftUI + CoreData -- seed data for app

Forums > SwiftUI

Hi all,

I have some data that I want to pre-populate for all users of my app' the idea being that you may or may not want to add to this dataset in the app, but for many users the defaults will be enough.

When I develop in C# and EF; there is a method to do this within a migration. Is there an equivalent approach for Swift/UI and CoreData?

I don't know about C#'s migration. But it's no problem to check für the record count on start of the app and if it is zero add default data.

Thanks, I'll implement it this way; wasn't sure if there was some other standard method.
