Could anyone tell me how I quote code in these question boxes?

It's Markdown. So, in the toolbar of the composition box, there's a circle with a question mark in it that is actually a link to a page of Markdown syntax. The short answer is with backquotes.

For single lines, surround the code with a single backtick.

For multiple lines, put three backticks on the line before and three on the line after.
