I’ve been using C with Allegro but I would like to try Swift with (not sure)

I’ve been using C with Allegro to create 2D animation but I would like to try Swift with (not sure) to make a MacOS window with 2D graphic animation. All tutorials, books etc. I’ve seen focus on interface building. I think swiftUI and Core Graphics are what I'm looking for but I'm unsure and want some guideance before I dive in.

Any hints on where to start?
