How can I check if it is a ChildView?

Forums > SwiftUI

Hi 👋,

I am trying to show a Spacer() only when the Tabbar is visible and therefore would check on the hidesBottomBarWhenPushed state. Because, if it is true I know the Tabbar is not visible and I am in a ChildView right?

Current try:

if(hidesBottomBarWhenPushed == true){ // Cannot find 'hidesBottomBarWhenPushed' in scope
   // is not visible
} else {
   // is visible
   Spacer()
}

Alternative: UITabBar.appearance().isHidden == true (didn't work properly)

Is this a good practice? How can I get the state in scope?
