SOLVED: First app launch

Forums > SwiftUI

Dear community,

Do you know some approaches to detect when the user launches the app for the first time?

I came out with this solution but I think it can be done better:

@State private var isFirstLaunch: Bool

init() {
        let isFirstLaunch = UserDefaults.standard.bool(forKey: "isFirstLaunch")
        _isFirstLaunch = State(initialValue: isFirstLaunch)
        print("isFirstLaunch:", isFirstLaunch)
    }

Thanks

You can use @AppStorage which is basically a nicer version of UserDefaults.
