edgesIgnoringSafeArea

Forums > SwiftUI

Has anyone had issues with edgesIgnoringSafeArea in SwiftUI? The issue im having is that if i use a TabView and set the modifier .edgesIgnoringSafeArea(.top), it pushes the TabBar at the bottom down as well. Is this an issue or normal behaviour for this modifier with the .top option?

I am working on an app which uses a SwiftUI TabView. While I was not using the .edgesIgnoringSafeArea(.top) modifier, I put it in place just to see what would happen.

Unfortunately as simple as it might be I have next to no idea how to post images using Markdown. I tried and failed a couple times using Google photos so I could post examples, but I'll just say I definitely see the problem you describe. You might consider filing a bug report using the Feedback Assistant.

Cheers, Dan
