SOLVED: Does the ExportFilesAction require importing a library as it's not found in even a vanilla iOS14 app

Forums > SwiftUI

I am following the post / iOS14 intro tutorial to export files in iOS14 as described here: https://www.hackingwithswift.com/quick-start/swiftui/how-to-export-files-using-exportfilesaction

Failing all attempts I booted a vanilla iOS14 app to verify what i might have been missing.

@Environment(\.exportFiles) var exportAction

XCode highlights it and says Value of type 'EnvironmentValues' has no member 'exportFiles'

I am wondering if the exportFiles action requires a library to be imported or a setting turned on? Or perhaps something declared in Info.plist ?

That was changed during the beta and you should be using the fileExporter() view modifier instead.
