Document Template restoring selection

Forums > SwiftUI

Does anyone know of a method to restore the state on a List view when using the Document Template.

I have a nested list of views, and when I dril down into it and select one. Then quit, then restart, the app remembers the selection and displays it in the content view, but the list forgets to expand and it doesn't highlight the item in the list. Can I programatically expand the list to show the selected row and highlight it?

            if let children = document.model.sidebar.children {
                List(children, id:\.self, children: \.children, selection: $document.model.selected) { sidebar in
                    Label(sidebar.name, systemImage: SFSymbolsModel.icon[sidebar.iconName] ?? "questionmark")
                }
            }
