@FocusState before iOS 15

Forums > SwiftUI

Hello folks! I am new to SwiftUI from UIKit and I am following the 100 days projects. The work environment would require me to keep support iOS14 (at least for a while). It is quite troublesome not having @FocusState to manage the focus. I looked up online for many helps but basically their approach is just reimplement TextField via UIViewRepresentable. I would like to ask what's your experience and your workaround. Is there any article or library that you find helpful?

You can try below code for keyboard cancel issue, other issues can also be solved using this approach but with different code

#if canImport(UIKit)
extension View {
   func hideKeyboard() {
UIApplication.shared.sendAction(#selector(UIResponder.resignFirstResponder), to: nil, from: nil, for: nil)
} }
#endif

then

VStack {
         TextField("Tip Amount ", text: $tipAmount)
            .textFieldStyle(.roundedBorder)
            .keyboardType(.decimalPad)
         Button("Submit") {
            print("Tip: \(tipAmount)")
            hideKeyboard()
}
}
