Some packages don’t load in Swift Playgrounds 4

Forums > Swift

Hi All

I am prototyping a new App in Swift Playgrounds 4.

Sometimes when I attempt to add a new package to the project, Swift Playgrounds just will not load it. You see a brief message "Fetching Versions ...", then nothing.

For example, this happens on the package here: https://github.com/apple/swift-markdown

My guess is there is something missing in the configuration of the project but I am at a loss as to what to do to fix it ... if for instance I made my own fork.

Thanks for any suggestions

Hmmmm

I went through all of the forks for the project until I found one that loaded

Swift Playgrounds 4 now gives me the message The target type "Clang Target" is not supported 😢

Is this going to ba another feature of the App I cannot work on in Swift Playgrounds?

I've experienced this same trouble. Has anyone found it's resolve?

Similar issue regarding a password-protected package. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/701369
