DVTCoreDeviceEnabledState message

Forums > Swift

Does anyone have any idea what this message means:

2023-05-17 16:00:51.422 xcodebuild[4726:51874] DVTCoreDeviceEnabledState: DVTCoreDeviceEnabledState_Disabled set via user default (DVTEnableCoreDevice=disabled)

I get this when building an xcFramework via the command line. It appears for every xcodebuild command I issue. It's only started since XCode 14.3 (14.2 built without the message).

I've googled the error and found very little useful information. A few people are getting the message building flutter apps though, in theor case, the build fails. In my case, the build appears to continue without error.

Given that everything still works, I'm guessing it's not a fatal error but it makes me nervous to see any find of issue reported during a build that wasn't there for a previous build.

Alternatively, can someone tell me how to change these "user default" settings?

Thanks Steve
