Pointer CrossHair

Forums > macOS

Hi all,

I'm trying to change the standard Mac pointer in a SwiftUI app to a crosshair when my app loads.

I've tried the code below in the appDelegate file.

var cursorLook: NSCursor!
func applicationDidFinishLaunching(_ aNotification: Notification) {

        // Create the SwiftUI view that provides the window contents.
        let contentView = ContentView() .environmentObject(waveform) .environmentObject(cueTime)

        cursorLook = NSCursor.crosshair
        cursorLook.set()

It would be great to know what I'm doing wrong!

When I run the app, I see the cursor quickly change to the crossHair, and then snap back to the standard arrow pointer.

Thanks all.
