iPod Touch 7 still in the game for current iOS 15 SwiftUI Apps?

Good morning

Not really HWS related..but..as the iPod Touch 7 is obsolete and a cheap device when cellular connection isn't needed... Is it still in the game for SwiftUI 5.x apps as a barcode scanning device for our shop inventory?

According to some rumours all A10 devices should get an iOS 16 update...whereas Apple drops A9 for iOS 16.
