I've implemented search conform this page.

I'd like to change the color of the placeholder text, but I seem to be unable to do that ? Any help ?

Got it!

This needs to be in ViewDidAppear for it to work:

    override func viewDidAppear(_ animated: Bool) {
        super.viewDidAppear(animated)
        searchController.searchBar.searchTextField.attributedPlaceholder = NSAttributedString(string: "Please provide the Project title", attributes: [NSAttributedString.Key.foregroundColor: UIColor.label])
    }
