Access with Files app to JSON files written with the app in the iPhone device

Forums > iOS

I've written an app that writes a JSON file on the iPhone device, but I don't know how to access with the Files app to that file, that I suppose is in the sandbox. I write the file in the documents directory and I know the full path of the file. Must I have any Custom iOS Target Property in the app target to do that?

I don't have any problem to access that files with the simulator in a folder in the Mac.

As an example, this is the path I get in the iPhone device: file:///var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/FAF9BCDE-CA79-41F0-9E0A-77315BAAECF2/Documents/authors.json

I've just found that with the Custom iOS Target Property, Supports opening documents in place to YES it's possible to access the app files with the Files app in the iPhone/iPad physical device
