What instead of Guess The Flag?

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

Hi guys, since I am blind I see no point in creating the "Guess The Flag" game as of course I won't be able to see the result and play it myself, so I am seeking somethiung with the same degree of difficulty, but just accessible for me. I wanted to do "Guess the quote" but I am not sure on how to play audio with Swift UI. Can it be done rather easily or its way beyond what I know so far?

That is a very excellent question.

"Guess the quote" aka "Who said that?" shouldn't be too difficult to create as the quotes and authors would be dictionaries.

The interesting part would be to link to the audio to have the quotation read out, and then the option of 3 candidate authors also read out. Then the confirmation of correct answer or wrong guess.

Paul - I think that this is an interesting project as an alternative to "Guess the flag" to teach about the accessibility options and other techniques to widen the scope of the apps, and give some insight in how to use the less common features and kits.

I found a library developed my @Twostraws whose name is Subsonic. Since I don't exactly know how to link a library to my Swift project, I just took its code and built something similar, yet simpler. so it meets my mediocre skill level. Once I have more time between challenges, I'm gonna try to build "Guess the quote". For now, I have built Guess The Flag and tested it on my brother lol.

When you get to it (in Guess The Flag) you will need to add Monaco to the array of countries as the flag is available, but the name is missing in the array.

Or you could leave it out, and make it a bit harder for your brother.

I already added Monaco.
