SOLVED: Day 61 error

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

Error: Type '(,) -> Bool' cannot conform to 'SortComparator'

code:

    var friendsArray: [CachedFriend] {
        let set = friends as? Set<CachedFriend> ?? []

        return set.sorted {
            $0.wrappedName < $1.wrappedName
        }
    }

Literally copy-pasted from Paul's solution which WILL compile. What? I know there must be some setting I missed on the Friendface.xcdatamodeld but WHAH!?

SOMEONE forgot to define wrappedName in CachedFriend.

THis was discovered at the helpful suggestion that I change the code to:

    var friendsArray: [CachedFriend] {
        let set = friends as? Set<CachedFriend> ?? []

        return set.sorted { (lhs: CachedFriend, rhs: CachedFriend) -> Bool in
          lhs.wrappedName < rhs.wrappedName
        }
    }

This produced an obvious to me error that was quickly fixed.
