I don't just cut and paste and sometimes this leads me to miss things. When I added a book, it appeared to overwrite all the other books. I tried searching for the mistake and didn't find any reference.

I had modified the code that comes preconfigured in xCode.

ForEach( books ) { in book ... 

was missing one piece...

ForEach (books, id: \.self ) { in book 

One of those mistakes when you realize you made it sort makes you want to duck below the desk...
