SOLVED: BetterRest Challenge question: How can I center the Text() view?

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

How can I center the bottom text? I expected the VStack to center it by default, but even VStack(alignment: .center) doesn't seem to help here. Does the NavigationView affect the alignment to the point where even the VStack's higher specificity/locality cannot override it?

The Text element is centered. To center the text inside the Text element, do this:

Text("Your ideal bedtime is 10:38 PM")
    .font(.largeTitle)
    .fontWeight(.bold)
    .multilineTextAlignment(.center)
    .padding(.bottom, 260)
