Xcode cancels running during compile

Forums > SwiftUI

Is it just me, or is Xcode having issues?

About 1/3 of the time when I click on the 'Run' button to compile and run my code, it does the compile and then displays "run canceled" in the top of the window without running the app. This happens when there are no warnings or errors in the code.

it doesn't seem to matter if it's building to the simulator, to my mac, my iPhone or to any of several test iPads I have running both over the air and connected via a cable. Just sometimes it cancels running and I haven't been able to sus out why.

It always will run fine if I click the 'Run' button again. It's just a curiousity (and a bit annoying) that sometimes I have to press Run twice to get it to go.

Has anyone else seen this? and if you have do you have any idea how to correct the behavior?

I'm using Xcode Version 12.4 (12D4e) on an M1 Mini in Big Sur 11.2.3

thanks!
