ViewModifier Protocol in SwiftUI

What's the Content in ViewModifier?

The documentation says:

The content view type.
typealias ViewModifier.Content

I am not sure about:

  1. how this gets set by the caller?
  2. What's the Type of Content?
  3. How func body(content: Self.Content) -> Self.Body gets called internally?
  4. How the confirming Type doesn't need to provide the Type of Content?
