SOLVED: Vertical timeline of steps

Forums > SwiftUI

I'm a beginer and looking to take on a project that i haven't been able to find any example code for so far. I think part of my struggle is "timelineView" is a thing, but not the thing i am looking for, so any pairing of the the term timeline and swift provides search results that are not ideal.

Basically looking to create vertically laid out timeline based on input of steps. Simply laying out a vertical timeline with evenly spaced out steps would be the first step. I think a stretch goal is to have the steps spaced out relative to their duration. If anyone has some suggestions of how i could start or could point me in the direction of some code i could build off of, that would be amazing.

I found a vertical timeline exmaple of a bread baking process i think, just as an example of what I'm picturing.

Thank you in advance,

Brian

Hi Brian,

As to the best of my knowledge Paul doesn't have anything that's going into your desired direction on this site, I'd like to recommend this video from Kavsoft:

You may want to slow down the playback speed a bit, but I think it will provide you with a nice idea/entry point of how to realize something similar to what you are looking for.

Cheers

This was really helpful and I was able to get it going in my app. Even having the spacing based off a precentage of the available screen. Thank you so much!

That's great to hear, I'm glad I could help. You may want to consider marking this thread as solved, then.
