Sidebar that can't be collapsed (in macOS)

Forums > SwiftUI

So I'm trying to create a Sidebar that can't be collapsed but can't figure out how, any ideas?

Also, how come the selected option in the sidebar (set in onAppear) does not get the blue background from the start?

Relevant code below:

struct ContentView: View {
  enum Menu: String, CaseIterable {
    case this = "This"
    case that = "That"
    case theOther = "The Other"

  @State private var selection: Menu? = .this

  var body: some View {
    NavigationView {
      // Sidebar view
      List(Menu.allCases, id: \.self, selection: $selection) { menuItem in
      .frame(minWidth: 150, maxWidth: 150)
      .onAppear {
        self.selection = .that

      // Detail view
      Text(selection?.rawValue ?? "Default view")
        .frame(maxWidth: .infinity, maxHeight: .infinity)
    .frame(minWidth: 400, minHeight: 200)

It is my understanding that the non-selection of the item in the sidebar is a SwiftUI bug. Same happes to me and I thing twostraws mentions it in a video he produced on HWS+.
