Share Bug: First share attempt shows a blank sheet.

I am implementing a screenshot share in my app. Doing some debugging, if I use the share mechanism to share text directly it works first time. However if I try to share the same text via a variable it fails on the first share attempt but then works on all subsequent shares. I've posted a video to demo what happens.
