Scaling a rotated image to fit?

Forums > SwiftUI

Hi! I'm trying to rotate an image and THEN scale it appropriately to fit (post-rotation). I understand the ordering of modifiers really matters, but I would have expected this to work? However it's not...any tips on how to get what i want? Thanks!

MyImage

.resizable()

.rotationEffect(.degrees(-90))

.scaledToFit()

The closest answer i've found so far is an old stackoverflow post stating "You need to adjust the frame yourself in this case. That requires capturing what the frame is, and then applying the adjustment."

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/58494193/swiftui-rotationeffect-framing-and-offsetting

There's not a more elegant way??

An idea, instead of trying to rotate the Image directly why you don't rotate the container of it? i.e. a Vstack for example?
