SOLVED: Paul's Neumorphic article doesn't work anymore

Forums > SwiftUI

When running on iOS 16 the line:

.animation(nil)

gives a warning:

'animation' was deprecated in iOS 15.0: Use withAnimation or animation(_:value:) instead.

However whilst the code does run, the 'tapped' animation never happens unless you hold your finger down.

Can anyone please help me understand how to change this so it works in iOS 16?

Paul's code:

struct ColorfulButtonStyle: ButtonStyle
{
  func makeBody(configuration: Self.Configuration) -> some View
  {
    configuration.label
      .padding(30)
      .contentShape(Circle())
      .background(
        ColorfulBackground(isHighlighted: configuration.isPressed, shape: Circle())
      )
      .animation(nil)
  }
}

I think I fixed it:

struct ColorfulButtonStyle: ButtonStyle
{
  func makeBody(configuration: Self.Configuration) -> some View
  {
    withAnimation(.default)
    {
      configuration.label
        .padding(30)
        .contentShape(Circle())
        .background(
          ColorfulBackground(isHighlighted: configuration.isPressed, shape: Circle())
        )
    }
  }
}
