macOS SwiftUI pop up View for Settings from menu?

i found how to open a view beside a button but don't get it how to open a simple window in front of the main app from a menu entry. i used a DocumentGroup app.

my intent is to open a input window for settings from menu. this settings (mostly for appearance, font size and other checkboxes) belongs to the document and saved is within the same file.
