How to have keyboard auto show on Textfield

I'm trying to build a grocery app. I have a text field to input what you require. when the app launches the keyboard doesn't appear. Any suggestions

On simulator or on your device? When on device, the keyboard should appear as soon as the cursor is inside a TextField. On simulator you can toggle the keyboard via I/O -> Keyboard -> Toggle Software Keyboard
