SOLVED: How can I see console output when using an actual device instead of simulator?

Forums > SwiftUI

I have just learned that I can run my XCode projects on my actual iPhone, rather than using the simulator. However, I don't know how to see the console output that normally shows up at the bottom of XCode when I do this. I would like to be able to see my print messages or errors that occur as I run my app. Does anybody know how to do this?

If you plug in your phone to your Mac and run the app with Xcode on your phone you see all the console messages like on the simulator. No difference here.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was trying to use it wirelessly, and I didn't realize that it takes a little while for XCode to fully connect to the phone that way. So the console does end up working wirelessly too, it just takes a minute before it starts to show up.
