Dynamically changing text color in status bar SwiftUI

Forums > SwiftUI

I am trying to dynamically change the color of the status bar text based on some state in my app. In the app I allow the user to switch styles and in one style the menu bar at the top is black but the status bar text stays black making it impossible to see. I am trying to find a way to dynamically update just that text in the status bar similar to what is shown for UI kit in this articel . I do not want to chage the .preferredColorScheme(), which will switch the entire app to dark or light mode, just the status bar color. Any help would be much appreciated.
