SOLVED: Dirty Form

Forums > SwiftUI

Hi all,

Is there any way to determine if any data within a Form has been edited?

If there isn't, would it be recommended to use Hasher to compute a hash of the original form field values and compare it with the final values to see if any have changed?

Are you talking about Form in SwiftUI. If so the fields that can be changed are marked with @State eg:

@State private var first = ""

then if the form you mark the variable with $

Form {
      TextField("First Name", text: $first)
}

then Swift looks out for changes to first

If not that then not sure what you mean.

If all your form is controlled through a single bound object, then you could use Equatable to check whether the current object matches the original object.
