Can I prevent the preview from crashing and showing the crash report?

Forums > SwiftUI

While I am editing my view, and I am not finished typing the preview starts to try and catch up. Sometimes based on what I am typing the preview crashes and pops up a crash report and wants me to send it in.

I am ok with it crashing, I am typing code and it isn't finished yet. How can I prevent this from popping up as I am trying to design my view, other than making the view hidden. I want to see what is happening in my preview, thats the point of the preview.

Not tried this myself, but Opt+Cmd+Return should toggle the display of the preview canvas. Why not hide it while youre typing any significant ampunt of code and restore it once youre done? It might be the simplest solution.

I pretty much have to do that by closing the canvas. It is just annoying... just let it show a crash. Maybe even pause the preview and then let me tell it when to preview again. It is just annoying that the crash report keeps poping up and I am trying to type something.

Take a look at this... Stack Overflow article (hope that link works). It talks about a system to disable crash reports at the system level. Maybe that would work for you.
