Saving Live Photos from server

Forums > Swift

@miff

Hi,

Does someone here knows how to solve this, I have on remote server two file; photo (.jpg) and video (.mov) of 5sec duration. Tap of the button invoke downloadAndSave() and should save Live Photo in Photos.

func downloadAndSave() {

        let p: Data = try! Data(contentsOf: URL(string: self.feeds[self.cid].cover)!)
        let v: Data = try! Data(contentsOf: URL(string: self.feeds[self.cid].url)!)

        PHPhotoLibrary.shared().performChanges({
            let creationRequest = PHAssetCreationRequest.forAsset()
            creationRequest.addResource(with: .photo, data: p, options: nil)

             let options = PHAssetResourceCreationOptions()
             options.shouldMoveFile = true
             creationRequest.addResource(with: .pairedVideo, data: v, options: options)
         }) { success, error in
              print("--->", success)
              print(error?.localizedDescription ?? "error")
        }
}

the output is always error: The operation couldn’t be completed. (PHPhotosErrorDomain error -1.)

Thanks
