In Swift UiKit, how do i create a button that when clicked takes me to the Table view?

Forums > Swift

Good evening,

I am able to build a button that when clicked propagates a label with text. However, following that approch I am lost when i look to build a button that when clicked takes me to a table view, where the array will have family names and numbers.

My confusion is at

familyNames.text = " "

because I am wanting to get to the table view, as opposed to a specific solution (text)......

import UIKit

class ViewController: UIViewController, UITableViewDelegate, UITableViewDataSource {

@IBOutlet var familyNames: UITableView!
@IBOutlet var family: UI Button!

@IBAction func family(_ sender: Any) {
    familyNames.text = " "

}

overide func viewDidLoad() {
  super.viewDidLoad()
    }
}

Much appreciate any thoughts/guidance
