Is this a good thing or a bad behaviour?

I'm asking because I see that as a pattern that will work, because we usually will need a self to update UI, and if we don't have it - okay, we will not update anything. What problem it may cause?

 DispatchQueue.main.async {
            [weak self] in
            guard let self = self else { return }
            self.updateUI()
}
