func, bools and count

Forums > Swift

quick question as I've been tying myself in knots to tie in "count" with bools

thanx in advance for the help...

func checkLength(message: String) -> Bool {
    var check = checkLength(message: String)
    check.count
    if check.count > 10 && <20 {
        return true
    } else {
        return false
}
}
checkLength(message: "Hello everyone")

Figured it out!...looks like it works

func checkLength(message: String) -> Bool {
    if message.count > 10 && message.count < 20 { return true }
    return false
}

if checkLength(message: "Hello mum"){
    print("that is within the count range of letters")
}else {
    print("That is outside the count range of letters")
}
