Best way to handle data from a MySQL source?

Forums > Swift

So I've got an idea for an application based around a dictionary file I've compiled in MySQL. While I could easily throw together an API and just make calls to the database server to get the information, ultimately I'd like to be able to give the user an option to download the data for offline use.

Are there any good libraries or functions for either using MySQL directly in Swift/iOS apps or converting said database dump over to a CoreData database?

Better still, are there any projects in the books that deal with something along these lines?

Thanks!
