How much of the book is still useful in September 2024 ?

Forums > Server-side Swift

I have a toy project that I could do in Typescript or Python but I really want to give Swift on the server a try.

Almost every interface described in the book (so far, just started the Million Hairs project) has changed, from creating a new playground in Xcode to working with Vapor. Even the Swift tools have changed, from 5.0 to 5.10. Am I likely to run into stumbling blocks along the way, or are the core concepts going to be pretty much the same?

Also, where might I learn more about working directly with Swift 6? Should I just write the thing in 5.10 (tweaking 5.0-ish things I learn from the book), then bump the versions to 6.0 and see what breaks? Or is there a better way?
