I've just recently bought the Server-Side Swift book. Unfortunately, it (and the source code) refer to Vapor 3 and the code instructions in the course do not compile.

I notice a question regarding updates from October of '21. I've sent emails to Paul asking for clarification and, sadly, for a refund. NO RESPONSE!

What gives?

I got the code to compile, but had to make numerous changes. In fact, most of the common Vapor Tutorials I have tried (3-4) suffer from being out of date. The only one which works I have found is the Azam Sharp one on You Tube. That one only goes through connecting to a database and suffers,is somewhat disorganized and the part where you actually get instructions on how to connect to a real database provider doesn't work for me. Mikela Caron YouTube videos are live stream and take about 10 two-hour sessions, so I haven't tried them as live streams are difficult to reference and waste a lot of time if you want a real tutorial. The only one which is up to data is Vapors own documentation but even then I am having trouble getting the connections to actual databases working. To be fair to all the third party tutorials, Vapor has made many source code breaking changes. It would be difficult to keep up with them. The Tibor Boudecs tutorial seems to be the most complete but it is not really for beginners.
