MacOS webcam ('facetime hd') camera with SwiftUI?

Hello, everyone. I hope you are well. I am trying to make a MacOS program that uses the built in webcam, using SwiftUI. I can show the webcam user permission prompt, and on clicking yes the webcam green light turns on, but I cannot get the video preview to show up on the screen.

I think my trouble relates to AVCaptureVideoPreviewLayer and returning a SwiftUI View.

Does anyone have experience with this?
