Development without admin rights

Forums > macOS

Hello,

I'm going to start a new project in two weeks. I can't use may own MacBook in this project, so they will give me a new MacBook to use. But with this I won't get admin rigths :(

I never worked without admin rights. So my question: Did someone of you use a MacBook without admin rights to develop iOS and Mac Apps using XCode and everything else?

Do you get any problems or was everything fine?

Thanks, Urkman

They trust you with development but not with running a MacBook? Or do they want to be able to observe you? Anyway that would be a show-stopper for me. I am guessing you can install and run all/most of the tools from inside you home-directory. Still I'm guessing that depending on the work you'll have to do you will most likely run in trouble. Ask them to install docker and virtualbox.
