iOS Developer: Help lead the development and scaling of our mobile app and work with a team on building new features.
About us:
YOKE connects fans with all of their favorite athletes to video chat and play video games together.
We launched the app in late April. Since then, we have hit 50k registered users (who have sent over 40,000 challenges), recruited 900+ professional athletes (such as Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, Jerry Jeudy, Tacko Fall, and Hassan Whiteside), and peaked at #11 in the App Store Sports category. We gained over 140 athletes and 10,000 users over the past 30 days.
We raised our seed round of funding over the summer and are looking to ramp things up even further. If you join the YOKE team, you will work alongside 3-5 other engineers. You will report to our current Head of Technology.
Location: Remote
Compensation: Starts at $20-$50/hour and goes higher for sufficiently qualified candidates.
You will:
Take non-technical requirements and map them to technical implementation
Build out new features and iterate on existing functionality
Test and maintain software products to ensure proper functionality
Write non-trivial, clean, well-architected and self-documenting code
Write code that is both testable and is accompanied by tests

A deep understanding of the Swift programming language, including a comprehensive grasp of up-to-date Swift syntax, idioms and techniques
A background in using UIKit and UI layouts with NS Layout Anchors
Experience with the Google Firebase platform
