Where to put mp4 so it can be accessed from "Bundle.main.url"

Forums > iOS

I'm trying to use an mp4 file to test an iCloud backup feature, but putting it in Assets.xcassets doesn't seem to be the right place when I use:

guard let fileURL = Bundle.main.url(forResource: "sample", withExtension: "mp4") else { return }

A print statement that outputs the value of fileURL is never executed, so I think the guard statement causes a return from the method, when it doesn't locate the mp4 file.

Put it directly into your project, ideally in a group named something like "Audio" or "Content" and make sure "copy items if needed" is checked.
