UIScene - getting active and visible view (Sanity check needed)

Forums > iOS

@miff

I have code that works as I expected, but still... is this the right way?

if let sceneView = view.window?.windowScene?.windows.last?.rootViewController?.view {
    ToastService.shared.show(for: "You buy \(i.name)!", in: sceneView, duration: 1)
}

How you test this multiple active scenes?

What do you want to achieve? To display toast in the last active scene?

Wouldn't NotificationCenter do the job instead of reaching directly for the scene view?

@nemecek-filip toast is custom, is just UIView... and yes. How NotificationCenter will help me with UI?
