Getting logs from users device

Forums > iOS

@BSM

Hello,

I want to add the option for the user to send the logs of what happend in the app after a crash, or unexpected behaviour.

I have heard about OSLogStore that could do something like that, but that has sadly been removed from ios by apple.

In a few articles I have read about using OSLog( and the new Logger for iOS) which could generate logs if I where to use it like I would use print. but aht wont solve the issue of me wanted the provide the option to collect all logs from x amount of time before(dont know the default time for normal logs), and send to me(the developer).

If a crash happens one the App Store and

(From Apple Connect)

Crashes only includes data from users who have agreed to share their diagnostics and usage information with app developers.

and if in TestFlight it ask the user if they want to send it.

It up to the User!
