SOLVED: macOS-project-1: Creating datasource and delegate outlets

Forums > Books

My problem stems from this section:

Select “Table View” in the document outline, then Ctrl-drag from there to “Source View Controller”. When you release, choose “dataSource” from the menu that appears. Now do the same thing again, this time choosing “delegate” from the menu.

When I select (click-drag ) TableVIEW from document outline to SourceViewController the connection inspector tells me the datasource & delegate are connected to Border Scroll View-TableView.

  • How do make sure the connection is what I want (TableView)?
  • Is there specific area I need to drag too?
  • Is there a key-command I can use?

Thank you for your time! Be safe :)

Make sure you are ctrl-dragging from the Table View inside the Bordered Scroll View and Clip View.

Like so:

tableView drag
