 I'm using the latest edition of Dive Into SpriteKit and I'm seeing this error:   PhysicsBody: Could not create physics body.

I've was reseraching and there was a bug in XCode but it was supposed to be fixed in Xcode 11.2. I'm currently using Xcode 11.3.1 and still see that error message. I'm building the "Sinky Sub" game. Anyone else see this problem and find a workaround?



I'm also working through the "Dive into SpriteKit" book, trying to do the submarine project and I'm getting the same error. Were you able to figure out the issue?


Hi guys,

You can try two things:

  1. Use a real device for testing, if you have one.
  2. Revert back to simulator with iOS 12.x.x.
