WordScramble colorizing

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

I based the scoring for the Day 31 WordScramble challenge on the presence of vowels and consonants, and colorized the words in the list, as shown here.

Is there any interest in a writeup about how I made the "colorization" of a word happen?

I'm not even super sure that I've taken the right approach, but it works and was a fun challenge.

You could have really gone "overboard" instead of score 1 for constant and 2 for vowel you could of done the score based on the game Scrabble 🤔

That's an excellent idea! Seems like a good application for a dictionary to keep track of point values. Also I'd have to allow 2-letter words again. 🙂Thanks for the suggestion!

Here's what it looks like, with scoring based upon Scrabble tile values. This was a fun challenge – thanks, Nigel! 😀
